BGC’s Government Relations (GR) Strategy
BGC will organize meetings with government officials, on the political level and on the bureaucratic level, with departments and ministries that are relevant to our client’s government relations (GR) strategy. If projects or applications are mired in bureaucratic hurdles, BGC will work to get both offices of any given department or ministry on side.
BGC provides the following services for preparing clients to meet with government officials:
- Due Diligence and Background
- Discovery/Relationship Building
- Knowing the Right Message
- Follow-up
Due Diligence and Background:
BGC will do background research so that it is aware of any key messaging that might help shape the discussion.
Discovery & Relationship Building:
The discovery stage is about finding out the needs and wants of the stakeholder through active listening and asking meeting attendees questions. The goal is to find out more about the goals of the project and the specific interests of the attendees. Asking questions shows active engagement and allows attendees to express their passions, which, in turn, builds relationships between the groups being brought together.
Developing the Message:
The aim is to position clients’ messages so that all stakeholders involved feel the project was a success, or a “win”. BGC win-win results can be viewed in Case Studies.
Follow-Ups:
The backbone of any successful GR strategy is follow-up. BGC will implement a strict follow-up schedule in order to ensure that government commitments are met.
